Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967, is a Canadian actress from Canada. After early roles on television and film, she gained the world stage for her performance as in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In an Supporting Role. Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) were some of her TV roles. Moss was living in Spain when she was approached for the part of Tara, Judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. She relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles with the series in 1992. Moss was forced out of Dark Justice after the third season, and the final. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha "Sam". She was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and later, she appeared on Fox's primetime soap opera Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The series was cancelled on July 25, 1995. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada show. The majority of the 1990s, she was a part of in several television series like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she won the Gemini Award for Best Guest actress in Drama. Her film roles included a variety of B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
